Some notes about our Breakfasts
…and being a B&B (Bed & Breakfast), breakfasts are important! Our breakfast menu will change seasonally, and we will introduce new dishes from time-to-time. However, the following will remain consistent through this season:
Our Waffles Are Raised Waffles
Fast becoming a signature breakfast dish for the Inn…raised waffles. The batter is made the night before as it uses yeast, and, as the name suggests, the batter rises over night. The next morning, eggs are added, and you are ready to make the best waffles. The only trick is that if we run out of waffle batter at breakfast, there simply are no more waffles that morning because, again, the batter must rise overnight.
Yes, real maple syrup. We serve only real maple syrup, which we source locally. Then we heat the maple syrup ever so slightly before serving it. Warm (real) maple syrup on a raised waffle or on blueberry pancakes... As breakfast should be☺
Fresh Brown Eggs: Free Range Eggs
We use free range eggs that are also free of both added hormones and antibiotics—certified free range and certified organic fresh brown eggs.
We source the honey we use locally.
We use organic Peruvian coffee beans in brewing our coffee. We also offer de-caf coffee that uses Colombian coffee beans.
Fresh Half & Half
We serve fresh half & half with our coffee. Organic half & half when it is available, but fresh in any event.
We use organic whole milk.
Ours is made the old-fashioned way: Real cocoa and sugar (and just a pinch of salt) are combined with whole milk…takes a few minutes to prepare, but it sure beats anything out of an envelope.
We are pleased with our efforts to be as organic at breakfast as is realistically possible in this location. We will continue those efforts. We are also sourcing locally as much as we can for the foods we use at breakfast. Here’s to your health and that of the planet.

Served with organic butter, Maple Syrup sourced from a nearby farm, and Pork Sausage
